Community Inclusion

At the Birmingham Parent Carer Forum, we are dedicated to creating an inclusive community where every family feels valued and heard. We understand that some families, particularly those from seldom heard groups, face unique challenges and barriers when accessing services and support. Our goal is to ensure that these voices are not just included, but are integral to shaping the future of SEND services in Birmingham.

If you are part of a community organisation, consider partnering with us to strengthen both ogranisations outreach and support efforts.

We believe that every voice matters and that diversity enriches our community. By ensuring that seldom heard families are included and their experiences are reflected in our work, we are building a stronger, more inclusive community.

We collaborate with local community organisations, faith groups, and cultural associations to connect with families who may not be reached through traditional channels.

Our sessions are designed to be culturally sensitive and accessible, ensuring that language, cultural differences, and other barriers do not hinder participation.

We organise sessions in various communities across Birmingham, providing safe and welcoming spaces for seldom heard families to share their experiences and concerns.

We offer multilingual support for families whose first language is not English, ensuring that language is not a barrier to participation.

We have provided translation services at meetings, events, and through our communication channels.

We partner with grassroots organisations and community leaders who have established trust within seldom heard communities.
